Jess has always had a passion for music, which started at the early age of 6 when she attended her very first piano lesson. At age 13 she picked up the guitar, and by the age of 15 Jess had already gained her Grade 8 in electric guitar. One year later, she went on to study at the prestigious Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) and completed a Level 3 Music Performance Diploma, followed by a Level 5 Higher Diploma, both specialising in guitar. Thereafter, Jess further expanded her musical knowledge by studying at the Detroit Institute of Music Education, where she achieved a 1st Class BA (Hons) Degree in Contemporary Music Performance. Having a high level of musical expertise has already gained Jess recognition within the music industry, resulting in her working professionally alongside several well-known artists.
Since the age of 16, Jess has been mentored by leading modern rock virtuoso Martin Goulding, who continues to motivate and inspire her in her pursuit of excellence.
Jess successfully teaches guitar to students of all ages up to Grade 8, and has become known as a patient, knowledgeable teacher. She has recently finished composing and recording her debut solo album ‘Utopian Dreams’, which is soon to be released on all major music platforms. She is available to hire for session work, tours and collaborations.
